INTERNATIONAL LOGGING ACQUIRES DATALOG'S INFORMATION SERVICES DIVISION
Calgary, Alberta, -- June 26, 2007 -- Datalog Technology Inc. announces that
International Logging Inc. ("ILI") has acquired Datalog's information services division,
which provides electronic drilling recorders and unmanned gas detection services to
customers worldwide. As part of this transaction , ILI will also acquire the Canadian
manufacturing, and research and development operations of Datalog.
Datalog continues to provide wireline logging and Logging While Tripping services to
a North American customer service base and maintains mud logging operations in
Colombia, Cuba and Sudan.
Datalog's Wireline Logging services are customized for oil sands and mineral
mining industries. The compact logging unit and slim hole tools are a perfect fit for
remote locations and shallow wells, and can be operated with or without a drilling rig.
Wireline logging provides information to evaluate formation characteristics in
conventional oil and gas, oil sands and mineral exploration.
Logging While Tripping ("LWT") is a safe, simple and efficient technology that
provides a new approach to formation evaluation. The system eliminates the need to
push wireline tools through a deviated hole resulting in significant time savings.
There is also no need to remove drill string or perform hole conditioning trips before
or after logging. LWT provides memory-based gamma ray, spectral gamma ray,
neutron porosity, and induction resistivity measurements while tripping drill string out
of the hole.
Datalog is also pleased to announce that Ian Underdown has been appointed as
Chief Executive Officer and Peter Huff has been appointed President of the
Company.
