COMPANY HISTORY
Datalog was founded in Calgary in 1986 in order to provide manned Mud Logging field services and develop advanced Mud Logging technology. In 1987, The Company introduced Geologger, the first computerized unmanned Mud-logger, and continued to lead the industry in technology. Other major developments included the introduction of the WellWizard™ in 1999 and the GasWizard™ in 2000. Many of Datalog's new products and services have been targeted at information technology at the wellsite. Datalog currently employs approximately 400 people worldwide and continues its growth for technological advancement.

- Sold Mud Logging services to International Logging Incorporated.
- Moving forward with a key focus on Information Solutions.
2005
- Company reorganization into 2 divisions: Geosciences Division and Information Solutions.
- Introduces GC-TRACER for complete, quantitative hydrocarbon analysis.
- Launches Logging While Tripping.
2004
- Launches Wellhub for wellsite data distribution.
2003
- Established partnerships for joint development in Algeria, Mexico and The Gulf Coast
of the USA.
2002
- Opens offices in Aberdeen and Dubai.
- Awarded 11 unit contract in Brazil.
- Receives Peru Camisea project.
- Wins Triton Equatorial Guinea project.
2001
- Receives Mud Logging contract on first deepwater wells off Canada’s East Coast in over
20 years.
- Awarded Chevon Tengiz contract in Kazakhstan.
2000
- Opens offices in United States and Mexico.
- Expands product line to offer Drilling Optimization Consultant (WW DOC), Electronic Drilling
Recorder (WW EDR), Integrated Data System (WW IDS), Underbalanced Drilling (WW UBD),
Measurement While Drilling (WW MWD).
- Introduces the GasWizard, the world’s first direct measurement of hydrocarbons in
drilling fluid.
1999
- Introduces WellWizard™ Mud Logging system.
- Expands operations in West Africa.
1998
- Opens office in Kazakhstan
- Wins one of the largest North Sea contracts from Maersk in the Danish Sector.

- Opens office in Peru and Bolivia.

- Establishes base in Tunisia.

- Wins competitive bid to sell advanced Mud Logging units in Algeria and Poland.

- Introduces QLOG computerized Mud Logging system.
