Horizontal well logging made easy with huge rig time savings and low radiation risk:
Datalog’s Logging While Tripping (LWT) is a streamlined, user friendly and patented technology that provides a new approach to formation evaluation. LWT provides quality openhole logs with high efficiency and rig time savings.
The LWT system eliminates the need to push wireline tools through a deviated hole. LWT’s customized tools align with specialized, transparent drill collars to evaluate exterior formations as the rig crew trips the pipe within the well.
After tripping, the tools are brought to surface where onboard memory is downloaded to a computer and logs plotted. These logging instruments and collars minimize production delays and save rig time by acquiring information without exposure to the open well bore.
LWT is faster than wireline as it eliminates the need to remove drillpipes or perform hole conditioning trips before and after logging.

EFFICIENT:
| Horizontal Wells, Multilateral Wells, Extended Reach Holes | Significantly lower costs than LWD and pipe conveyed logging. |
|---|---|
| Slim Holes, Coilled Tubing Logging | Slim memory tools are ideal for these operations. |
| Underbalanced Logging | Run LWT tools with rotary BOP and snubbing unit. |
| Reconnassiance (Scouting) Logs | Confirm casing point without tripping the bit. |
| High Efficiency Operations (Shallow Gas) | Closes the time gap between end of drilling and perforating, minimizing production delays and rig time. |
| Core Hole Logging | Directly compatible with continuous coring rig equipment as it replaces the core barrel and logs through the corebit. |
| Remote Operation | The light and highly mobile LWT unit is easily transportable via air or land and wil not be affected by road bans. |
Run LWT subs in the BHA as a back up plan in the event that hole conditions do not allow for a safe wireline operation. There are no incremental costs to the operator, since the LWT sub acts as a drill collar.
